Nuclear power has been considered to be environmentally damaging, costly and dangerous, but with ever increasing energy demands and emissions from fossil fuels, is it time to revisit the nuclear option?
Over the last 100 years 90% of the big fish in our oceans have gone. 50% of coral reefs are now dead. We are killing our oceans and that could lead to the extermination of human life.
We’re living through times that lead us to question our belief in the system of a market economy. The motor of that system, the banks, are collapsing in the two largest markets, the US and UK. Should we therefore be looking for inspiration elsewhere?
Transport is an inherent necessity for our lives and societies to function. Without it how would we move about, get to our jobs or go shopping? If we had no cars, where would we live, what form would our cities take?
Creativity today is often considered as limited to people learning about or working in the performing arts, design, painting etc. Indeed, people employed in these sectors are clearly highly talented and have worked very hard to get to where they are in often very competitive professions.
