alt The bath is an ancient tradition found in many countries throughout the world. Water is linked to the purification of the individual. 

The pleasures of the bath link us to our first pleasures in the womb!

Over and above hygene, a nice hot bath combined with specially chosen ingredients in the right environment can assist relaxation and wake the senses. Effectively, the bath is a moment of calm and luxury, it's a moment for oneself where one can relax and find one's own inner harmony. The benefits of a bath are immense, both on our bodies and for our souls.
 
A key for appreciating a bath is to take one's time and to not be rushed by an important task. One can then close one's eyes and abandon oneself to supreme relaxation. The ambiance is of the utmost importance and must take into account all of one's senses. It must be warm so that the body is invited to relax and will help with the relaxation of the mind. It's important to have indirect light, ideally from the flickering flame of a candle. Don't forget to perfume the bath with quality essential oils to improve the experience. The room can be filled with delicate Zen music to surround your senses with calming sounds.

There are many accessories and ingredients that can be used during the bath. One can select them for their esthetics and the pleasure that they bring. Candles, perfumes, oils, flannels, brushes, exfoliants, rubs, salts, clays and high-quality soaps can bring a sensation of well-being. One can select one's accessories to give a bath that is aligned with the mood that one desires to achieve. It's neither necessary nor desirable to have a large selection of articles, it's more important to chose good quality over quantity for a maximum effect.
 
The bath is a moment for the body and mind to regenerate. Thanks to the warmth of the water and the air, the pores of the skin open to allow the body to better absorb nutriments contained in the oils and soaps one has selected. A good rub or exfoliant will allow you to have a new feeling skin. Remember to select products that are adapted to your skin type.

After the bath, take a nice warm and comfortable dressing gown, then take a few minutes to benefit from the feeling of relaxation and well-being the bath has provided.
