ADHD amongst children is one of the most controversial “sicknesses” of our times. Many schools are asking parents to give their children anti-ADHD drugs so they can concentrate in class, but this course of action treats the symptoms and not the causes of ADHD-like behaviour. A new link has been identified between ADHD and pesticides.
Many of us remember from our time in the school yard how some children, maybe even ourselves, were bullied by others. Maybe you were a bully yourself and don’t wish your children to behave in this way. Kids who inherently can empathize with others are less likely to become bullies.
The way in which children think and approach their day to day life is the product of thousands of years of evolution.
School is a place that you send your children to learn, be inspired, meet new people and to prepare them for their adult life. However, schools don’t always meet all those objectives. Often, they can put kids off many subjects for life.
Travelling with children can and should be fun for everyone involved. Kids often see new things with their very logical and fresh eyes which when shared with you will let you see things differently.
