Before being a parent it is impossible to understand how stressful it can be. Once your child starts participating in activities that can dictate their future, that stress may seem to increase ten-fold!As parents it's really important to deal with your stress to ensure that you can best support your child and that you remain zen. Here are some of the things that you can do: • Help you child prepare as much as they can. Don't try to force them as this can be counter-productive, but help them understand the importance and provide assistance when requested. • Ensure that your child knows that you expect them to try their best and you'll fully support them whatever happens. • Support your child emotionally so that they can feel confident that they have your love for their challenge. • Be at peace with yourself knowing that you've done what you can to support them.
