It can be exhausting just watching all of the Olympic athletes trying to beat their best performances during the games! One wonderful way to unwind, for athletes and spectators alike, is to take a spa.In mountain resorts such as Whistler, where the games are taking place, it's a real treat to take a spa. The pure mountain air, mixed with the seasonal cold temperature is already incredibly rejuvenating. Mixed together with the pampering of a massage, facial and the warm bubbling waters of an out-door spa or hot tub, it's really easy to feel so much better. There is something magical about being in the mountains and being pampered - as though the mere fact of being away from your daily life, the change, has an effect on the pampering itself! Whistler has at least eight different spas on offer, with a wide variety of different options to suit people's different needs, tastes and desires. It's worth a trip to the mountains purely to take the time to relax! When will you next take some time for yourself at the spa? Update (20th February 2010): Canada's Globe and Mail published an article this morning on some of the country's best spas.
